Why Shut Up

One eye can see
One ear can hear
But one mouth shut up,
Million voices halt in the heart
Moulding explosions of heat
Rivers of blood dry up
Eyes go sightless
Ears go deaf

Out it must go
Like arrows of the sun
Melting ear wax
Of these inspirited leaders
And throwing the air of common good
Leaving faces with chuckles

Open up and
Days will be of divine beauty
Laughter will blossom
Even in dark corners
Newly found intellect will awake
Brushing the brains of a happy people
And noise of joy shall overcome
These screams of the scar- faced earth
