To Be Or Not To Be

TO BE OR NOT TO BE
That is the question.”

I am a page of black and white,
Using only words, the weapons of might.

They may not be large; they may not be tall,
But in the end, words conquer all.

Will there be love, will there be danger,
Will it be written by an anonymous stranger?

Will I be loved, or even admired,
Will I be discarded or even desired?

Maybe I’’m a book to be made into a play,
Maybe I’’ll be on the big screen one day.

When my life has come to an end
And when I have been completely penned,

Nobody knows what I am to be ,
To be or not to be, that is the question.

Todays poetry contest submission was written by Daniel Murphy.

Do you think it could possibly be one of the best new poems of 2013?
