Timeless Questions

What if it just all went south,
If winter came early in the midst of a drought?
If a gray lonely chill accompanied a haze,
A hazy depression without all the pain?
What if your brain went completely numb,
But you could feel it’s confusion in a murmurous hum?
A hum that won’t leave you alone,
And made you feel less at home?
What if your eyes moved within currents,
And made you spin in the torment?
If all the lights flickered on and off,
And everyone you asked would scoff?
What would you do if you couldn’t understand,
If no one was there to give you a hand?
If you couldn’t remember anything that happened,
And how you got there was completely blackened?
It’s hard to progress when bad things are done,
When trust is then lost in everyone.
I can’t remember what I had to do,
But whats done is done and now anew.
I’m sorry I messed up, I’m sorry I did it.
I’m sorry I loved you, I’m sorry you cheated.
I wish I could change things, I wish I was fine.
If only I could get back that time.
