The Weeping Willow

The weeping willow sways back and forth.
It has no ears,
so It cannot hear the gunfire,
or the screams for help.
It has no eyes,
so it cannot see the men fall to their deaths,
nor can it see the bloodshed,
but it weeps.
It stands with its outstretched arms,
like God watching over us.
Gods tears bring pain from his soul to the tree,
as if the raindrops of sorrow,
fall on its outstretched branches.
Just to look at the would bring both comfort and pain.
The weeping willow sways back and forth.
