The Rock That Never Breaks

Cold stony heart of mine

The rock that never breaks

I’ve shown no tears from death

Not even alone, never utter a breath

No feelings just random thoughts

It’s what my analytical brain reports

I’m a pit of nothing in the way of emotion

Just full of curiosity and desire for alternative

possibilities

When life is no more

I’ve never cried for fatalities

Emotionless to the world’s eyes

Does not mean I don’t understand others cries

It’s just not shown in the predictable way

I may look blank and no words I say

Although I know there may be a time

When my life may change

And emotions will rage

Escaping from their prison cage

And I will show my grief

Tear a page with resisting tears

I’ve been holding back for all these years
