The Piano Man

I touch the magnificent creature
the zebra roared in rhythm
its just the two of us
besides the silent hundreds of people

the zebra roared in rhythm
I played him up and down
its just the two of us
and the high golden arches above

the creature gets antsy
and my fingers shake
sweat slipping onto the keys
I stomp on the golden hooves

my fingers shake
as I play past the climax
I stomp on the golden hooves
softening the harsh roars

I stomp on the golden hooves
I touch the magnificent creature
softening the harsh roars
it’s just the two of us
