Desensitization

After so long emotions become faint,
extensively burned from each end,
impossible to apply them to anything untaint,
its just no good when all you wanna do is mend,

Before it came,
Sorrow was sorrow,
And pain was pain,
But come tomorrow,
Nothing will be the same!

We don’t say,
what we must not speak,
Forever dreading the day,
When our minds become weak,
and we slip forcing punishment through what we hear,

Yes desensitization can inhibit your judgment,
of what’s irrational or not,
So I’m kindly saying,
Your words don’t mean a thing,
our trust has fallen to rot.
