Seasons

Rain, long parade, flowing down from the sky,
birds start to sing and the sun begins to shine,
is it really worth the tiring effort, just to shine on the world,
I wonder if the sun will ever go out, will it ever stop its burn?

Warmth, heavy damp as I lie beneath the trees
those lazy times as I wonder who I’’ll be,
is it really worth the thought that we all give just to understand the world?
I wonder if anybody really knows the reason for the world,

Leaves on the trees pretty colors turn to brown,
it won’’t be long before they’’ll all be down,
is it really worth the work to make them, just to see them fall,
I wonder if they’’ll ever stay up on the trees, but I guess it would be wrong,

Snow, feather light, in the pale shimmering dawn,
sleep for a while, I wake up to find it gone,
is it really worth the weary watchfulness just to see the seasons pass,
I wondered if it was everything they say it is, I have seen the change at last
