Sailing Ship

Like a sailing ship setting off to sea,
fading into the deep blue horizon.
Longing for the warmth of the sun,
the comfort of stable ground.
The sea is uneasy and rough,
dreaming one day of seeing the dock.
Each day passes getting harder,
images of you grow faint.
Floating off is my heart,
bobbing wrapped in a life vest.
Your hands have my heart,
off in the vast blue sea.
Growing stronger each day,
hoping one day you will come back.
Leaving everything to the sea,
sailing off someday again with me.
