I cry every night,
But do you care?
I need a shoulder to cry on,
But no one is there.
Can’t go to anybody
When it’s hard to trust somebody.
So I just get on my knees and say a prayer:
Father Can you hear me?
Father God I want you near me.
To caress my soul and ease my pain.
These sins of mine,
So hard to abstain.
For I am so young,
But theres so much pain my life has brung.
I have nobody,
I have somebody,
In this lonesome world.
You’re my only friend,
So please help this lonesome girl Amen
I say my prayer and I finish it,
No doubts in my mind you feel it.
No questions needed, you heard it.
Cause as the tears dried upon my cheek
You whispered in my ear,
Be patient little lady, don’t be weak.
Get off your butt and stand on your feet.
Don’t let the envious see the tears on your face,
Get back up don’t lose the pace.
Speak your mind, and forget your fears,
And if you ever need help I’ll be right here.
