Mothers Love

You picked me up and swung me around

You flashed a smile before placing me on the ground

I was young then, almost four

But looking back, I wished I appreciated it more

In my ears the sound of your voice still rings

The soothing feeling that your touch used to bring

It’s been a few days or so and now and I can see

That I never really knew how much you meant to me

Your smell is starting to fade

And in the ground your body has been laid

Please come back, I miss you so

The depression is setting in, I feel the woe

As the day turns to night and night turns to day

There is only one last thing I would like to say

Thank you mom for all you have done

I hope I have been a trophy son

  1. A very sentimental poem for mothers who truly cares for their siblings. May we will express our love and gratefulness to them while they are still with us.
