Moonlight

Glancing around he moves
his lips in silent protest.
Looking up and out, he sees
a full moon and he turns,
closing his eyes. He looks
at his hands and starts to shake.
The full moon closes in, making
the room luminous. A low
long howl echoes through the valley,
announcing the arrival of the beast.
