As Cold As The Wind Blows

Every day with you is a snowstorm.
Years of passion turned to days of apathy.
Our time now is generic,
You’re as cold as the wind blows.

You need warmth.
You’re broken, but I can’t mend you.
With that icebox heart of yours,
You’re as cold as the wind blows.

Your heart, which was once open,
now is frozen shut.
There’s frost in your words, harsh and sharp.
You’re as cold as the wind blows.

You stole my warmth.
Aimed your snowball of animosity at my heart.
And I can’t love anymore,
now that I’m as cold as the wind blows.
