A Moment In Time

The gentle breeze caresses my face
My protector from the suns harsh rays
Birds sing as squirrels scurry about
Collecting nuts to return to their house
A peacefulness that fills a void
And brings about a soothing joy
No dreams about grander things
Never wondering what it means
Embracing nature as it may be
Thankful for all the things that I see
The simple beauty arrests my soul
Time went by, but where did it go
