A Deed Done

Completely calm, he sat there
Ready for death’s embrace
Waiting for his angel to escort him
Where chains would never bind him
All his unspoken grief
No longer a burden
As he was escorted
He heard the faint hum of voices
The sound of the people singing
And he knew his job was done

Do you think it could possibly be one of the best new poems of 2014?
